FEDERATION NATION
MEETING NOTES
5/30/2006
The meeting was held at the Ironworks (Bellaire Club)
on 5/30/06 and was called to order by the President
at 7:00 PM and adjourned at approximately 8:30 PM.
PRESIDENT
REPORT
General welcome and introduction of
Board and attendees
Expressed thanks and congratulations to all on the
great amount of progress attained in all areas in
such a short amount of time.
Is working on sponsorships for awards, etc.
TREASURER
REPORT
The issue of a 501 (3c) [non-profit
status] is being researched.
NATION bank account has to be established
Otto B. will assist Mike when not available.
Need PO Box to handle transactions from a central
source
SECRETARY
REPORT
Has software available as a
donation if 501 (3c) status established
Requested clubs to sent contacts lists now - even if
club is still forming
Is working on procedural forms needed for operations
Looking into ‘Proof of Insurance’ needed for general
operation and lake permits
TMX CHAIRMAN
REPORT
(Delayed 30 days until TMX Chairman
is on board)
A nominee is making his decision
OLD
BUSINESS
The new NATION’S first newsletter
is planed for electronic distribution in June
The NATION WEB site is up and running at
arizonabassnation.com
Budget preparation is in process
There was a reading of the proposed TMX Rules with
discussion. [MOTION to accept PASSED]
It is requested that club member rosters and fees be
paid with a single check (State + Fed fees).
NEW
BUSINESS
Due to the short time frame is was
decided to shorten this year’s TMX season to three
Qualifiers from which the AZ State Team will be
selected. There will be no ‘throw-outs’ (this year
only) and the AZ State Team will be selected from the
boater and non-boater pools by total points (six
members from each pool).
TMX Schedule (proposed)
Qualifier 1: Oct. 21st and Roosevelt Lake (10’ minimum,
slot rule applies)
Qualifier 2: Nov. 18th at Lake Pleasant
Qualifier 3: Mar. 3rd at Lake Havasu (proposed last of
‘06 and first of ‘07)
Club Team TMX: still under discussion
Possibility of running the ABA summer night TMX’s on
Lake Pleasant as fund raisers for the NATION (offered
by Rich Stringer).
Radio spots will be provided for the NATION
OPEN
DISCUSSION
Much discussion on the ABA
proposal. Number of participants need to run the
TMX’s, expected income, procedures, etc. General
thanks was expressed to Rich for his offer.
Discussion of incorporation for the NATION.
Ken and
Mark went to the Columbia River Divisionals paying
their own way. Came in 10th. Donated their
10th
place winnings ($600)
to the NATION. Way to go!
Next

Tues. June 12th , 7:00 PM (come at 6:00 PM for
dinner) at the Ironworks 17233 N.
