MEETING NOTES
10/2/06

CALL TO ORDER:
7:00 PM by President Kip Pollay
 
INTRODUCTIONS:
Board, Attendees (6 clubs represented)

 
SECRETARY REPORT:
Meeting minutes read from last. Accepted and motion made
Would like to have all clubs send in updated member information as soon as possible


TREASURER REPORT: 
Mike passed out treasury report $852.40. Also waiting on people to cash there checks from the ABA night tournaments. We are still waiting on monies from the ABA night tournaments from Rich String approximly $4,000. Membership fees for the upcoming 2006/2007 season must be submitted be December 31st.

TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR REPORT:
Qualifier # 1 will be Saturday at Roosevelt Lake October 21, 2006. Pre-tournament meeting will be held at the Roosevelt Lake resort starting at 5pm and the draw will be held at 8pm. 7:30pm will be the cutoff for all entries and new members to join the federation at this tournament. The tournament director is asking that the Last boat in the draw be the start boat. Weigh-in procedure will be announced at the pre-tournament meeting. All members wishing to fish this tournament must attend. Please make sure your B.A.S.S. membership is current and not expired – if it is not current, you will not be allowed to fish this tournament, this is for insurance reasons.

CONSERVATION REPORT:
Don was asking that we need volunteers and pallets for the Apache Lake project that will run November to December, he is also asking for members that have trailers to help haul the pallets to contact him. The federation will also be needing members to help to build the fish habits. Information about the fish kill at Alamo was also given. Arizona game and fish has been looking into off site weigh-ins there ruling may take a year or more to finalize, this is more so for FLW Everstart and other tournaments that do off site weigh-ins, if you have any questions please contact Don for more information.

YOUTH REPORT:
With coach Greene of the Arizona Cardinals looking on Travis Pollay (7-10) and Aaron Custer (11-15) won the Casting Kids Finals in their age group that was held at the Arizona Cardinals football stadium this past weekend. Just before the game both kids were announce on the fifty-yard line and were given front row seats to the game (to bad the Card’s did not fair as well). These two state champions’ will now move on to the national finals. Good luck to both members. Also this past weekend was the Jr. Club championship held at Lake Pleasant, Chaz Antos and JT Bunkel won there age group and are going to the BASS master Jr. Championship. Congratulations to all and good luck.

OLD BUSINESS:

NEW BUSINESS:
Mark Lester gave out info on a weigh in proposal and a new designed weigh-in bag and also had information about a salt dip that would help the mortally rate of fish during the tournaments. The federation board is looking into implementing this idea – Thank you Mark for the information.
Mike Kennedy of CD Repairman Inc. made the offer to donate the new weigh-in bags. Thanks Mike !!!!!!
Members will be needed to form a Tournament committee to help with each tournament – the federation is asking for one member of each club to serve on this board for one year. Members wishing to help please contact Kip Pollay and or Jeff Mayes.
A submersible pump is being looked into to help fill all the weigh-in tanks at the tournaments. If any member as anyone that might donate a high volume pump please contact Kip.
New membership information forms will be made available shortly.
Tonto national forest passes are now on sale. Please visit the web site for information on these passes and how to get them. Starting October 2
nd you must have this new pass to gain entry into the lakes.
A new Triton boat can be had by any member of the federation with approximate 50% off the MSRP, a $1,000 non-refundable deposit will be asked to order the boat. If you would like information about this boat please contact Kip.
