Youth Report:
Any Bass Clubs interested in building a youth club should contact Jeff Foley or Lyle Danuser via the federation web site. Youth clubs are welcomed and we would love to have as many Bass fishing kids as we can.
- AZBFN and Cabelas hit a home run with our Hot Summer Nights events. We helped over 100 different families enjoy the sport of fishing. Families were overtaken by the support they received and the new things they learned. Many prizes were awarded by Cabelas. A custom rod made by Bob Kettelman from Cabelas fly shop was awarded to the Daniel Posey family who takes his two boys fishing almost every weekend. Big Fish prize went to Davey Estes who is 4 and caught a 4 lb Catfish at Surprise Lake. Lots of fun for all.
- Casting Kids finals will be held in November, date to be announced next meeting.

Conservation Report:
Quagga Mussels in SRP canals, Mussels are confirmed to down to the granite reef division dam area. The Red Eared Sunfish put in the canal last year are not doing well in that environment. Ongoing cooperative measures with other state and governing agencies, Texas, Oregon, Minnesota B.O.R and B.L.M. The Quagga have now taken hold of the Hoover dam and have been found living well beyond the 125 ft depth limit as previously thought. Major issues are coming for Hoover dam.
SRP is conducting outreach effort like AZGFD to educate the boating public. Work on Pena Blanca is concluding, more to follow.
Additional issues can be heard on Don’s Shake Rattle and Troll radio show Sunday mornings @ AM 1100 @ 7-9 am.
