AZGFD launch a new public awareness and education program directed at the Quagga Mussel that has appeared in the Colorado River Lake chain system, including Lake Pleasant. We are encouraged to clean our live wells, and remove any aquatic vegetation that may be on our trailer frame or axles. Giant Salvinia has also crept into the Colorado River and poses a real choking threat to our water systems. For more information click www.azgfd.gov.
If you're planning a boating or fishing trip to a California late, you better make a telephone call first, because while you will be welcome, your boat might not be; Arizona boats will get extra checking.
